Class Dress Code
When reviewing our class dress code please keep in mind that specific shoes are required for class and are necessary for practicing skills in the shoe that will be used to perform. Check the costume guide prior to purchasing shoes that will be work in recital to ensure correct color and style. For performances it is important that the shoes are clean and that they fit well in order for the student to perform their best. No shoes that have been worn outside are able to be worn in either studio room.
Acro
Leotard (any color) and fitted shorts (optional)

Boys can wear athletic clothing
Ballet and Pointe
Black leotard
Pink or skin-toned tights
Canvas or leather ballet shoes or pointe shoes
Hair secured back as much as possible, buns preferred
No hanging jewelry
Boys can wear white t-shirts, opaque black pants or fitted black pants, a dance belt, and black ballet shoes
Note: Tights and shoes should match (e.g., if you wear pink tights your shoes must also be pink); Please talk to Ms. Danaë or Ms. Jess if you'd like to explore other options
Conditioning and PBT
Leotard (any color) and fitted shorts
No tights
No shoes
Boys can wear athletic clothing
No hanging jewelry
Contemporary
Dancers can wear different combinations of clothing that include a leotard (any color), leggings, fitted shorts, and fitted shirts
Tights optional
No shoes

Hip Hop
Comfortable/ athletic clothing (e.g., shirts, leggings, shirts)
Tights optional
Hip hop sneakers or tennis shoes (must be clean and not worn outside)
Hair secured back
No hanging jewelry
Jazz
Leotard and fitted shorts or pants that you can move in (optional)
Skin-toned tights preferred
Jazz shoes (unless specified otherwise by instructor)
Hair secured back as much as possible
Boys can wear black pants and a white t-shirt
No hanging jewelry
Note: Leotard and tights are preferred to monitor and correct alignment
Musical Theatre
Leotard and fitted shorts or pants that you can move in (optional)
